ABOUT EXPANDING BORDERS

Who we are
Expanding Borders is a 501(c) 3 Christian organization whose intention is to improve the spiritual and material lives of the women and children living in rural villages around the Lake Yojoa area. Our goal is to expand the borders of children and the women who participate in our ministry through evangelism, education, and job training so that they may lead lives filled with the Spirit of the Lord and provide them with the tools to care for their children. The ministry has a childrens’ home and a school for the children in the home. We fund and help with the operation of three feeding ministries in three different villages. We sponsor high school students to help them finish their education. We also sponsor single mothers and widows to help lighten their burden.

Our Mission
The mission of the ministry is first and foremost discipleship. Our focus is helping others by:
1. Discipling them through the building of relationships rooted in God’s Word.
2. Helping them recognize God’s calling upon their lives.
3. Helping them fulfill the calling God has upon their lives.
4. Transforming lives through the power of the Holy Spirit
For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.”

Our Vision
Our vision for both the ministry and for the people we minister to is for:
1. Spiritual growth
2. Disciples to lead and create more disciples
3. Impact the communities around us for the glory of God
4. Spread the Gospel
